EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S NOTE:
As we gather for the fifth and final year of The 24 Hour Plays: Memphis, I find myself reflecting on the unlikely beginning of this extraordinary journey. Five years ago, this event started with a bit of serendipity.
As I was walking out the door after a staged reading, someone beckoned me back. A group of theatre artists, most of whom did not really know each other, had gathered in conversation about The 24 Hour Plays. LoneTree Live had been largely dormant after the pandemic, and we were searching for a project that reflected our values: fostering the incredible talent of Memphis and creating genuine community. We said “yes, and” to the show and none of us could have imagined where that conversation would lead.
Tonight, six writers, six directors, twenty-four actors, two production assistants, four producers, and an extraordinary team of volunteers have come together to create six brand-new plays in just twenty-four hours.
Over the past five years, those numbers have grown into something remarkable: 30 writers, 30 directors, 120 actors, 20 producers, dozens of production assistants, and countless volunteers. More importantly, we've watched a community grow. Artists have found collaborators. Audiences have discovered new voices. Friendships have formed. Together, we've built something far greater than a single night's performance.
It's a wild conceit for a show. A group of brave artists set out to create six brand-new plays in twenty-four hours. It takes courage from everyone involved. We trust that the writers will write. That the directors will lead. That the actors will learn their lines. That the technicians will hit every cue. We trust that, somehow, a well-oiled machine can be built from nothing and deliver something extraordinary in just one day.
I am profoundly grateful for the role The 24 Hour Plays: Memphis has played in the beginning of LoneTree Live's story. This event helped forge our mission, strengthening our commitment to new work, supporting playwrights, championing Memphis artists, and creating theatre that exceeds expectations for what can happen in a theatre space. It has reminded us that some of the most meaningful art begins not with certainty, generosity, and the willingness to trust the adage “leap and the net will appear”!
As Executive Producer, I want to thank, from the bottom of my heart, every person who has contributed to these past five years. To every writer, director, actor, production assistant, volunteer, technician, audience member, donor, and supporter- you have made this improbable little miracle possible!!
I would also like to offer a special thank you to Courtney Sage, Emily Draffin, Domenic Michael Andolina, Mariah Chase, and especially Amy Rush, who has been the hub around which this incredible event turns. Simply put, this show would not be what it is without you.
Whether this is your first 24 Hour Plays or your fifth, thank you for being here to celebrate the bold, the impossible, and the extraordinary talent that calls Memphis home.

Actors in The 24 Hour Plays introduced themselves to the entire creative team at 7pm last night. They quickly described their skills and they revealed something they always wanted to do on stage - some are living their dreams tonight! They got their scripts at 8am this morning.
Kashief Crain
Kashief is happy to be participating in The 24 Hours Plays. Since not having a date since November 2025 his weekends have been pretty free so why not. Most importantly it’s an opportunity to be working with the amazing Amy Rush who is “the goat” and will be missed.
Kim Justis Eikner
KJ majored in theatre, got married, and started a family way back in the 1900’s. This century has brought numerous changes and opportunities for striving and growth, most of which would not have been possible without this phenomenal theatre community, her children, and her spectacular husband, the brilliant Flip Eikner.

Hannah has been doing theater for about 15 years, but is still pretty new to the Memphis area. She’s very excited to participate in this year’s The 24 Hour Plays after having an absolute blast last year!
Daniel Aaron Harris

Robbie Henry is excited to be participating in her third year of The 24 Hour Plays! Most recent productions include "Always a Bridesmaid" and "The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940" (Theatre Memphis). Thank you to friends and family and Zooey for all their support!

If Mimi Herren had a nickel for every time a character they played got undressed onstage, they'd have three nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened three times.
Solo Majesty
Solo Majesty is excited to be part of the 24 Hour Plays with LoneTree Live. An avid performer, she has participated in many stage plays and musicals like The Color Purple: The Musical, The Revolutionists, The Tempest, and so much more. She hoped you enjoy the light she brings to the stage.
Shayla Lawrence
Shayla is excited to return to the stage after participating in productions of The Vagina Monologues years ago and recently completing a beginning acting class. Shayla serves as a board member for CazaTeatro Bilingual Theatre Group. She enjoys traveling and hanging with her son, puppy, and loved ones, preferably outdoors.

Mace
Bio: In 1984 Glenda moved to NYC where she lived, acted and studied for 10 years. She has appeared in movies, TV and acted in theatres up and down the eastern seaboard. She moved back to Memphis in 2000 and started her own theatre company, Cloud9 Memphis that sadly ended with the COVID era. She is on stage at every opportunity and is excited to be on this one.
Margaret Mikkelsen
Margaret Mikkelsen is delighted to be in The 24 Hour Plays again. She has directed or acted in four of Emerald Theatre Company's short play festivals and recently appeared in ETC's production of Dragon Medicine. Margaret trained at the Luna Stage Conservatory for five years. Off stage, she's a Realtor.

S. Miller
Savannah S. Miller (she/her) is a queer and disabled writer and theatre artist. As a converted Memphian, some of her favorite 901 roles include Helena in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (Theatre Memphis) and Jacki Slaps in "Punk Rock Girl!" (Circuit Playhouse). Ken Moseley is an upcoming senior at Central High School, previously appearing in the plays “Life and Death in an Empty Hallway,” “Animal Farm,” and “Dearly Departed.” Ken is a member of the International Thespian Society.

Educator, trainer, and lifelong creative, Julia balances a dynamic career with a love for the arts. A dedicated business teacher, real estate agent, and agency trainer for over four years, she has cherished theatre since elementary school. Offstage, she is a proud wife and mom of three wonderful children.

THE WRITERS
Writers for The 24 Hour Plays took inspiration from the pool of actors and a pile of props and costumes and created the stories we tell tonight, furiously writing from about 10pm last night until 6am this morning. They’re tired! They all worked together to create this evening's program.

Rae Kestrel has been a performer (most recently Betty 1 in Collective Rage with New Moon and Claire in Rumors at Theatre Memphis), an assistant director (Dance Nation, LoneTree Live), and producer (FEMMEmphis & Lost in Found), and is excited to make a playwriting debut with this amazing group!

Bo List is a playwright, director, and sometimes-Memphian. His adaptation of FRANKENSTEIN was produced by New Moon Theatre some years ago, and his work as director was seen at Theatre Memphis and Circuit Playhouse even more years than that. Former Executive Producer at GCT, he wishes the new one every success!

Olson
Coe Olson has been participating in theatre since childhood, mainly on the technical side, and have had the pleasure of working on over 50 volunteer or professional shows. As a first time participant in this produciton, they are thankful for the opportunity to create with some great artists!

Perry
Elle Perry is a Memphis writer, whose work explores social systems, public spaces (especially liminal ones), gender roles, and identity. She was a finalist in the 2026 Kentucky Visions Short Story Contest and participated in LoneTree Live’s 10-week Seed to Script Playwright Development Program for emerging playwrights.

Jordon Douglas (Sunnie) is excited to be apart of the Final 24 Hour Plays. Her first time on stage was at the 2023 24 Hour Plays. Thanks to the Memphis Theatre Community for the laughs and support. Thank You to Julia Hinson and Amy Rush for always supporting and believing.

Wells
Jordan is a director and writer located in the mid-south. He is a teaching artist with the Orpheum Theatre Group. He has directed productions with Chicago Summer Opera, Miami Music Festival, Opera Mississippi, and Opera on the James. His original musical, A Trip to the Moon, premiered last fall.
THE DIRECTORS
Directors for The 24 Hour Plays worked just a little with the writers as the casts were formed, but really had no idea what adventure they’d be leading until they arrived this morning at 7am! They’ve been the creative brains behind the action and kept group energy high while keeping the atmostphere chill.
Kaylea Jo Egnor
Kaylea Jo is a third-year candidate for a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Directing at UofM. A coal miner’s daughter from the hills of Appalachia, she is a proud graduate of West Virginia University. She is the founder and Artistic Director of Montani StageLab here in Memphis. @kayleajoegnor
Jason E. Gerhard
Jason E Gerhard is making a return visit to Memphis after last appearing in year 1 of The 24-Hour Plays. Previously an actor and director on various Memphian stages, Jason works as a freelance theatre artist in Greenville, SC. Lauren Larson is delighted to be participating in The 24 Hour Plays for the third time. The last time she directed something, she was a senior in high school. It was WASP by Steve Martin. She chewed a lot of gum during the performance.

Aliza Moran is a theatre artist, educator, and arts administrator with more than 20 years of experience in community-based theatre. Her work spans directing, devising, puppetry, performance, and arts education, with a focus on storytelling, youth engagement, community collaboration, and creating meaningful artistic experiences.
Kate Peckham
Kate is so excited to be directing in this last year of the 24 Hour Plays! This event holds a special place in her heart, and she is fortunate to have been able to participate in some form in each of the five years. Thank you to LoneTree Live for fostering this weird and creative community!

Julia Hinson (Co-Producer) is the founder and Executive Director of LoneTree Live in Memphis, Tennessee. A theatre artist, educator, and director, she recently directed LoneTree Live's Clown Bar. Julia creates community-centered theatre that encourages creativity, connection, and artistic growth across Memphis and the Mid-South region.

Amy Rush (Co-Producer) earned an MA in Puppet Arts from Univ. of Conn., She moved to Memphis in 2020 and soon is moving to Chicago! Amy is both sad and excited about this.
